Another Creative Writing project. Keep in mind that the last time I heard the story of the Gemini twins was a loooong time ago, so if I have it wrong, I'm sorry. But I thought I remembered hearing that they were attacked and the mortal one was killed, so that's what I'm going with.

a little something I wrote on a sad day

Category: Original
Rating: G
Genre: Drama
Summary: .....I'm not really sure what this could be placed as, but it's about a woman's favorite figurine and a big accident.
Status: Incomplete, probably never will be completed
I wrote this in Creative Writing last semester after I had some personal experience with this situation that morning. I couldn't write more because I was really emotional about it, and the music we were listening to for the day was making me feel worse. But I still like what I wrote very much.

If I ever decide to go somewhere with this, it will be a very long time from now. I'm still trying to get another chapter of Karrah up for the class.

Nooooooooooooo!
Jan. 25th, 2005 03:01 pmSS Supernova got canceled! Waaaaaah!
I knew it was a possibility, after how flippant and tardy people were to rehearsals, but I had my heart set on it!!
And while...
-A David and Whitney group hug,
-Seeing Jackie from my friends in Freshman year again (she saw me crying and asked if I was ok),
-Ms. Wiggins in a good mood compared to last year, and
-A possibility of a really cool group in Food Trends who will share the damn work
did cheer me up, I feel really upset and annoyed that Lisa had to cancel the play.
Why couldn't those people just get their shit together?!? Why audition for the play at all unless you're going to work?!?!?!?!?!

Yearghble!
Jan. 11th, 2005 09:12 pmI stayed during and after the auditions for one act rehearsals for hours, only to have Lisa cancel them because only a few people showed up.
She did say that we were having them today, people!!!
Sigh......
At least I had an awesome time with random theater people who stayed behind for whatever reason. I got to show off my flapper dress (even got brave enough to go up to Spencer and ask if he liked it. My excuse was that I was bored and looking for means of conversation), listened to very weird conversations, and got to see Brendan moon Maggie, then got a few cameos in pictures of the two of them wrestling (I was trying to pull Maggie off of him).
But I wish I didn't have to wait for a whole hour after auditions expecting to do work only to have it canceled because nobody else came.
I couldn't even bum a ride off Arden because he was one of the people who left ToT I was tempted to ask Spencer, but I wasn't sure when/where he was going, and I didn't want to burden him. He only really knows me from this year's play auditions, after all.
Am I being a wuss again?

Fun with auditions
Jan. 10th, 2005 09:33 pmNo, I didn't audition for the musical. I was kinda thinking about it at first, but like I said before, I want to start looking for jobs again right after the One Act festival, so there's no way I'd have time for both. But I decided to go watch Corey audition at least, and I ended up seeing lots of cool people audition :D
So...once again, Mrs. McCary couldn't get the rights to the play, but this time it wasn't her fault. They haven't decided on the play yet, so the singing auditions are on hold. So I got to see people's monologues. There were some pretty good ones. I think my favorite was the one where I got to do a little improv;
This one girl's monologue was about how sick she is of every boy she meets staring at her chest. She had Spencer on stage drooling at her, then at the end of the monologue she kneed him in the crotch (acting, of course). Then while she was getting her picture taken for the audition papers, I ran over and helped Spencer up the stairs (yes, still acting). Now, I know what you're thinking; "Was this an excuse to act and be silly or was this an excuse to touch Spencer's arm?"
Good question. *giggles*
My gaaaaawd I want Spencer's audition mug shot! *hypersonic squeee*
And I was very happy for the people who did the lunchtime monologue from You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown. Because without a very kind Charlie Brown wiling to donate his sandwich, I wouldn't have been able to watch the whole audition, let alone Corey's.
Speaking of Corey, we established once again how clueless Heather is; I came into the building, and Corey and Heather were having a discussion. It was obvious from the look on Corey's face that Heather was being stupid again. Heather sees me and asks "Do you notice anything different about Corey's hair?" I blink at Heather and say "Uhh....she got it cut?" in a "duh" voice. Corey jumps up and thanks me graciously. Apparently Corey asked her this and she thought it got longer. Umm...yeah....I think Heather needs a little bit of Corey's Ritalin or something.
Another rehearsal tomorrow, which means being out reaaaaaaallllly late. But at least we're getting costumes prepared! Yay!
Must remember to pack my cell phone.

recap of rehearsals from this week
Jan. 8th, 2005 05:21 pmTwo moderately constructive rehearsals this week! It's a miracle!
We've practiced about half of the play now. I'm only in two scenes so far, might be more, I dunno (it's fun to be a bit part :P).
In my second scene, Lisa put me next to Arden, who plays the male lead/romantic interest, so right before Maggie's character came over to him and they started introductions/flirting, I decided that I should start hitting on Arden, and then he brushes me aside to talk to Maggie. That idea came to me on a very caffeinated mind, and Lisa loved it. She also liked me going over to him to try again, only to get knocked over by Dylan, playing the drunk.
It just occurred to me that in both of my roles so far have really bad luck LOL
Speaking of caffeinated mind, I was SOOOOOO hyper yesterday at that rehearsal! I got a Pepsi from the vending machines after school, because I had a second lunch and nothing to drink, and when I did that I realised that the rehearsal started at 2:30, not 4. So the Pepsi kicked in just at the right moment. I was focusing on my work in the part, but when we weren't practicing, I was bouncing off the walls. Most notable was when I asked Lisa about my idea about hitting on Arden; *bounce bounce bounce bounce* "LisaLisaLisaLisaLisa!"
We've got another rehearsal this upcoming Tuesday, right after the auditions for the musical. Which means I'll be out reaaaaally late. But that's ok, 'cause I heard we're finally getting props and sets, and we're going to start semi-dress rehearsals, so I can start wearing my flapper dress!
(Around the time I finished typing that, Mom and Marc came home and asked what was burning. I forgot I had a pot on the stove. ooops......:/ but no harm done since I caught it in time)
We're performing later this month. And just FYI, my "New Years Resolution" (IE, my goal which just happened to come into effect after New Years) is to start looking for a job RIGHT after the play.

Throwaway fun day tomorrow!
Dec. 22nd, 2004 10:03 pmWe never do anything in school the day right before Winter Break, since most people go out of town. It'll be movies and games all day. Funness! Ms. Hardinge even asked me to bring in my big book of Mad Libs ^_^ (God I haven't played that game in sooooo long.....)
We had another rehearsal today. Pure. Anarchy. But I got my flapper dress approved by Lisa. And another ride home from Arden. Yay for the niceness of Arden!
I was with my guidance counselor most of the morning; she gave me a new backpack and helped me get organized. I wonder how long it'll last LOL Anyway, so now I have a new backpack, I'm fairly organized, and I got to sit and watch the class play volleyball since I didn't have time to change.
We're gonna try to see Phantom tomorrow! Yaaaaay! I have super-duper high hopes for this one, especially now that I've seen what
lfangor had to say about it ^______^
Well, sleepy time for Saria-chan now. Oyasumi nasai!

Recent watchings blog
Nov. 17th, 2004 06:54 pmPeter Pan:
That was so much fun! The actors were all great, as usual, and the kids were SO CUTE! Especially Michael. Corey says that the kid who played Michael was a monster, but he was so adorable and he played the part really well! Dunkan was playing the green laser pointer that was being used for Tinker Bell, and some girl I didn't know did her voice on violin. Apparently they didn't have a bell, so a violin was a good second choice, but it bothered me that they kept the line in about her sounding like a bell. I LOVED the crocodile. It was amazing how life-like it moved! Did I mention that I really liked the actors? I liked how Corey and her twin look nothing alike IRL, but they managed to cover that :D And I got to see Spencer as a pirate <3 and how strong he is *____* they were hurrying the kids up onto the deck, and he picked a few up, including some of the bigger kids. Uwwaaaaaah, Spencer-sama was sugoii da ne!
(sweet little post-show tidbit: Corey told me that he actually picked Arden up and ran across the parking lot with him once. Mmmm....strong sexy senior....*drool*)
Unfortunately, Spencer and Jeremy (who was playing Captin Hook) had to die. Than the whole play went downhill.
The Incredibles:
What can I say about this one without spoiling too much? Hmm....how about....IT ROCKED! I know humans aren't Pixar's strongpoint in animation, but these guys looked great! And once again, we've found that Pixar has added to our daily conversations. "Mom, you're making your faces again." "No capes!"
And I loved Violet. I love it when superpowers match personality.
Erm, I think that's it....(man, I wish I hadn't put this off so long...)

It's that time of year again!
Nov. 16th, 2004 09:58 pmI auditioned for Puttin' on the Hits today! I was waiting forever before I finally went in, but at least I got to talk to Corey for a bit and give Maggie a teaser, and I got to talk to Spencer! EEEEEEE Spencer! He names his guitars! You don't see that very often :D <3
And I got to see him falling asleep on some girl's shoulder. SOOOOOO CUTE! Corey, get that picture for me soon! <3 Yup, that's me, the yearbook stalker. We've also established that he looks very nice in Arden's hat <3
Okay, enough about Spencer. For now.
The audition went pretty well. The guitar went a little out of tune when I got in there, but I seemed to be the only one who noticed. I'm not *too* worried, 'cause they know me and my potential, and someone actually said that they needed me. LOL
Incidentally, it's also that time of year when I actually start cleaning my room. There wasn't too much this time; just stuff that I never cleaned up because I've been distracted by my computer. I still need to organize a little, and I need to find my ex-desk a new home.
Soooo......anybody want a desk?
Ok ok, I'll stop putting it off. Tomorrow, I will post that Incredibles/Peter Pan blog I've been meaning to post.
Maybe eventually I'll get to some more Sprite Comics, too.
Bed now. G'night.
