Another Creative Writing project. Keep in mind that the last time I heard the story of the Gemini twins was a loooong time ago, so if I have it wrong, I'm sorry. But I thought I remembered hearing that they were attacked and the mortal one was killed, so that's what I'm going with.

How unfair this is
To be separated by the most alien of ways;
Death
I would give everything, I would
Never hunt again
Break my bow and my arms
If only for my brother to join my side
In eternal life.
Or otherwise,
I would give away my own godliness
I would return to that man
So he may slay me
He shall not take my brother to the underworld
And leave me at the gates forever.
If we cannot live together
In the night as long lived as I,
Then I shall never let my face be shown,
A single twin, doomed to life alone.
