Ok, this is scary. Not scary as in Pitch Black scary, but more like.....well, how I feel about the song Witch Doctor scary. Just warning you.
Chapter 1
Yugi leaned over the counter. Once again,his grandfather had gone on one of his trips,and he was left at home to look after the shop.(A/N:I put him in that situation a lot,don't I?)He was bored to tears. No one had come by,not even any of his friends. He felt as if he was going to fall asleep right where he was standing.
But just in the nick of time,he saw Joey,Tristan and Tea pass outside the window. He waved at them. Joey smiled and opened the door.
"Hey,Yug'!"he said as he entered.
"Hi guys! You're just in time. I thought I was gonna die of boredom!"
They spent most of the day doing things around the shop,while talking about things that had been going on. They laughed a lot. Things are always more fun when with friends.
Suddenly,right in the middle of Joey telling Yugi about Tristen being rejected for a date yet again,the phone rang. Yugi answered.
"Hello,Turtle Ga--"
"Yugi! Thank God!"Yugi jumped at being cut off so suddenly. The voice on the other line was exasperated and frightened sounding,but also familiar.
"Kaiba?"
"Yugi,I'm in BIG trouble! I need you to come to Kaiba Corp. imediatly! Don't ask questions,just come!"Kaiba sounded like he was in serious trouble.
"A-all right,I'll be right there."Yugi replied.
"Thank you! Hurry!"Kaiba said quickly and hung up with a loud SLAM! that made Yugi have to pull the reciever away from his ear.
Yugi and his friends dashed into the elevator and pressed the button. Slowly the doors closed and they started toward the top floor. As the numbers increased,Yugi was deep in thought. Why was Kaiba so scared? What horrible danger was he in? And why summon him,of all people?
Finally,the elevator stopped and the doors opened. There was Kaiba,sprawled out face-down on the floor,twitching occasionally. Yugi stepped out of the elevator,his friends behind him,and knelt in front of the Kaiba Corp CEO.
"Kaiba?"he asked. Kaiba lifted his head,then let out a yelp and grabbed Yugi by the collar of his jacket.
"Yugi!"he exclaimed,"You must help me! I...I lost a duel...and now I'm...I'm..."the young CEO was almost in tears. Yugi looked at him strangely.
"What are you talking about?"he asked,"Kaiba,what's wrong?" Kaiba looked behind him shakily,then yelped again and jumped behind Yugi.
"There she is!"he wimpered. Yugi looked at where Kaiba was pointing. There was a woman standing there. He couldn't make out much detail;she was in shadow.
"She's the one who got me into this mess!"
"Calm down,Kaiba."Yugi said comfortingly,"I'll get to the bottom of this. You there! Who are you?"the figure hesitated,then stepped into the light.
She had long blonde hair that went all the way down her back,and was wearing a pink,short-skirt dress with little hearts all over it. Her eyes were a brilliant sky blue and she had a big smile on her face.
"Who am I?"she said,her voice high and perky-sounding,"I'm Dueling Fun Barbie!"
Chapter 2
Kaiba was still on the floor wimpering,using Yugi as a shield as best as he could with his height. Yugi looked at the frighteningly perky and...well...pink...girl,and after bringing up his courage,he spoke again.
"What have you done to Kaiba?"he demanded,trying to sound brave.
"We had a duel,that's all."Barbie replied,"But I guess I was a bit too much for him."
"That's it?"
"That's not the half of it!"Kaiba exclaimed with a shudder,"When we dueled,we made a bet. If she won...I...I have to be her boyfriend!"
Yugi felt his jaw drop. The horror of it all! Nobody should be forced to go steady with this blonde creature! But at least now he was beginning to see why Kaiba summoned him. But did he really want to do it? Even though Kaiba was his rival,he didn't deserve this humiliation.
"Barbie!"he yelled,"I challenge you to a duel! If I win,you let Kaiba go!"Barbie smiled and laughed a laugh which would have sounded evil if it weren't so perky.
"Ok."she said cheerfully,"If you win,I'll let my sweet little Seto go...(Kaiba shuddered at being called "sweet")However..."she grew a mischevious glint in her eye,"If I win,you have to join him. I'm not manogomus(Sp?). You can both be my boyfriend!"Yugi shuddered. Him,going out with her! He could see it now...forever carrying her books...taking her to movies...and...kissing her! Ugh! Did he really want to risk it?
Suddenly,it happened again. His Millenium Puzzle began to glow and levetate. A blinding light surrounded the boy and he felt himself begin to grow.
"YU-GI-OOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!"as he yelled,his voice slowly changed from a timid tenor to a deep,bold baritone. When the light died,Yugi was no longer small and shy,but was now the tall,dark and handsom Yami Yugi!
Barbie gasped at seeing the newly transformed Yugi.
"All right,Dueling Fun Barbie!"Yami exclaimed,his voice as strong and bold as ever,"I accept your terms!"Barbie's expression changed from shocked to smug,in a perky,blonde sort of way.
"You're cute!"she said,"I will have great pleasure of making you mine! See you in the ring!"she turned on her heel and headed to the back,where the 3D dueling arena was. Yami followed.
"Be careful,Yugi!"Kaiba exclaimed,"She's ruthless! The way she duels can really mess with your head!"

Yami stood on the platform,staring straight at the blonde who stood across from him on the other platform.
"There will be no time limit!"she yelled,"We will each start with 2000 Life Points! The first person to reach 0 Life Points will be the loser! Are you ready to duel,Yugi?"
"Ready whe you are!"Yami replied. Barbie smirked.
"You seem so convinced that you're going to win. I'll wipe that smirk off of your face in no time!"
"Let's duel!"Yami and Barbie exclaimed together. A certain intesnsity filled the air as the two players drew five cards.
"I guess I'll go first."Barbie said,"And I'll start with Pink Flower Fields!"She slapped the card down on the table.
"What is that?"Yami asked out loud. Suddenly,a blinding flash of pink light caused him to raise an arm to his face. When he was able to look,he gasped as her half of the field was a bright pink color with little flowers all over it(think the decorative flowers on Barbie boxes.*Shudder*). Barbie laughed.
"Pink Flower Fields gives me a pink arena. All my Mattel monsters will get a Field Power Bonus now."
"Mattel monsters?"
"Don't give in,Yugi!"Kaiba called from the side,"This is the same card that I lost to!"
The duel had only started,and already Yami was nervous. What were these "Mattel monsters?" What power did they hold? What horrors did Barbie have in her hand at this very moment?
