Day 2: so far so good.
Jan. 26th, 2006 03:21 pmLaurie was the most frustrating last evening. He was really fussy. But he finally went to sleep at 9:30, a half hour after I'd decided to try to sleep.
And get this; he LET ME SLEEP UNTIL 5 AM!!! which was when I was planning to get up anyway to get to school on time (in case he cried during the trip) and get him to daycare. He needed to be diapered, fed, a minute of burping (new record! usually it's a half hour), and he went right back to sleep.
He was no trouble at all when I came to see him at lunch. He slept for 90% of the time, woke up once for a diaper change, then was quiet until it was time to turn him off for the rest of the school time.
Then when I picked him up after school, I had to stay with Mrs. Mangene while I fed him (can't exactly walk around while feeding him), then before I could even burp him, he went to sleep again. And he's still asleep now. I wonder if this is a pattern.

Date: 2006-01-26 09:49 pm (UTC)I'm glad that Laurie was able to (consequently YOU were able to!) sleep for so long last night. Cool! And it sounds like you're getting better at burping. I prided myself on my burping technique.
Question - why can't you walk around while feeding him? When I was still nursing Matthew, very early on, I had him with me under a light blanket while I was shopping at the Base Exchange at Bolling Air Force Base. Nobody even knew I was breastfeeding :) while I was walking around shopping.

Date: 2006-01-26 09:57 pm (UTC)It's really hard for me to walk with him in my arm AND hold the bottle up at the same time. And if I had to do this on the way home, there's the stroller to worry about.
(hee, he woke up for food and a diaper change and went right back to sleep! Bless his little electronic heart)
