Day one: let the fun begin
Jan. 25th, 2006 03:34 pmI've brought home the baby. He hasn't cried yet; he's sleeping.
It was pretty funny signing up. Everyone else was all "I want this one! Gimme that sheet!" My attitude was "I don't care which baby I get, I just want it on the first week."
So the first sheet I could get my hands on with the first day open, I grabbed it. I am now the proud mother of a male caucasian. I have named him Laurie, after the Little Women character. We've got the whole cast now; Amy Joanne, Margaret Elizabeth, Theodore Laurence.
It was kinda scary walking home, too. I had to ask someone to chase one of the papers that got away from me because I was holding the stroller and couldn't go to far. And the brick sidewalk in front of the school was so bumpy, I thought the stroller was gonna tip over or the neck was going to get lashed around. But he's doing just fine. I even heard him coo when we were almost home.
The people at school were funny, too. I swear, they're acting just like me when I was watching Child Dev. people with babies; "Awwww, he's so cute! What's his name? Who's the daddy?"
Pictures to come as soon as Mom's home. (so we can get pictures of me with him, not just himself.0
And I should wrap this up before anything starts. Gotta be ready!
EDIT: I think I'm already getting attatched. I know these babies can't detect sound, but ever since I came home, I feel this need to be super quiet.
