Forgetting to turn off your electric blanket from the afternoon, and discovering that you forgot when you climb into bed that night.

MMmmm...that was cozy ^_^

I bet you could get a timer to turn it on a bit before bedtime and turn it off in the morning. That way you would have a warm bed without running it all day.
