yamisage hit me with the mallet of inspiration.
I am officially directing a one act play! I mentioned to Mrs. McCarey that I wanted to do the play Hard Candy, which is basically about a series of interviews for a business. I wasn't sure if I could do it, because there were 8 other plays, and mine was really long. But I got in! I auditioned people yesterday, which definitelly added a few more years to my life; some of the people who auditioned were hilarious! Not everybody at the one act tryouts auditioned for mine, though...I wonder if they just couldn't see me or what...
But anyway, the other directors and I got together to argue about who we wanted. Actually, we didn't argue at all; we just discussed role sizes and second and third choices and such. I got most of my first choices :)
We're holding the run-through next Monday.
