What I learned from taking my Senior portraits

- the best lighting in the world cannot hide a blemish on the chin
- the photographer playing with your hair to get the pose he wants doesn't help with its untidyness.
- shawls are the only recorded legal instance of strangers putting teenaged girls in bondage
- I look *just* like my mother
