AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH!!! DAMMIT DAMMIT DAMMIT DAMIIT!!!!

My PS2 fell from its spot, and now the power button isn't working. It feels like its jammed or something. Has anybody ever had this problem? Do I need a new PS2 now?

WHY THE FUCK DOES THIS ALWAYS HAPPEN TO ME?!?!?!?!?!?

I had that problem once, and fiddling with the button forced it back into place after a while. Maybe that'll work for you.

I have a certain amount of experience disassembling PS2 consoles. I also have an
entire dead one to strip for spare parts*. If it won't behave for you, I'm willing to
take a crack at it.


* Not a guarantee that I have a working replacement part if yours needs one, because
at least one of those parts is already broken, and now all PS2s are created equal.

didja ever wonder why we as a species like to put breakables in places where they can fall? We all do it, with all sorts of things - your CD player and PS2, my cell phone (top of the car) and MP3 player (desk at work)... hell, antique china and glass goes in special cabinets made just for displaying it - cabinets that fall over easily, and are useless in natural disasters.

You'd think as smart as we are, we'd have either stopped making breakables, or come up with better places to put them...
