Appearance: 5'6", overweight, but not obese, aggressively curly dark brown hair, growing out unevently but longest point is halfway down my back. Brown-framed large glasses. Greyish blue eyes. Round face. Crooked teeth.
History: I was born in Woodbridge, Virginia and lived for a few years between my grandparents' house and a trailor with my parents. When I was about 2 or 3, mom and I, and the man who is now my stepfather, moved out of the trailor and into an apartment in Beltsville, Maryland with mom's friend. We stayed in that apartment for several years, going through several roommates, each one with their own stories I'd rather not get into. All the while I was taught using Calvert School's homeschool program, my stepdad in charge. When I was about 8 we moved to another apartment in Gaithersburg, Maryland. We lived there for two years, where I made my home in the back yard, and tried to make friends, and somewhat succeeded, though now I wonder about most of them. Then when I was 10, we moved into the house that I still live in today, and I started taking guitar lessons from my biological father. During this time, I finally finished the god-aweful homeschool program (which I mostly hated because of my stepdad's temper and impatience with me, especially now since he denies the abuse I remember clearly) and attended Quince Orchard High School. There was where the most of my life happened; I made a few very close friends, I made a name for myself in the annual talent show by singing and playing guitar, and I overall had a good time, except for the bad apples that always come with the high school package. In the end I graduated with a 3.47 GPA (or something along those lines) and now attend Montgomery College in Rockville. I'm probably gonna be here a while, too.
Personality: I consider myself a really nice person, though sometimes I'll get really grumpy or temperamental. I love making friends, and am a really weird mix of introverted and extroverted. If given a choice I prefer to do things alone, but in good company I'm a fun person to be around. I'm a pretty good listener though I don't always know what to say when there's a problem, and I'm super affectionate and love giving out hugs. I have a fun sense of humor, but when something isn't funny to me, it's not funny, and sometimes I get in trouble with people because I get annoyed at something they said when it was supposed to be a joke. I'm really sensitive which can get annoying because I tend to take some things waaaay too personally, and I'll cry at the drop of a hat. Sometimes I worry if that makes me look like I'm using crocodile tears. I'm really self-conscious about my face, but not about my clothes, and I'm a tiny bit tomboyish. I cuss like a sailor but I can control it. I try to keep my inner child alive wherever I go.
Other fun facts: I have a swollen ankle from freshman year when I sprained it right before school started.
I don't always remember things, but I am practically a tape recorder for music and movies
My center of balance causes me to instinctively walk on the balls of my feet when I'm not wearing shoes
I can't always immitate accents (though I'm quite proud of my Brittish ones), but I pick up on pronounciation in foreign languages very quickly
I LOVE creative things that get my hands dirty. Paper mache, pumpkin carving, hand-mixing cookiedough, I love it!
I love making crepes
My inner hypochondriac thinks I have Asperger syndrome, and with my family's history of depression I wonder if I have that too
