Notes: Yet again based on an event; various characters were turned into future or past versions of themselves, and at the end they came eye-to-eye with themselves for a brief second.
I hate the beginning. Seriously I feel like I could do so much better with a lot of these -___-
Saria had no idea what had happened. She didn’t know what time it was, or why she was sitting cross-legged at the foot of her bed in her pajamas with no recollection of what she was doing before, or why there was another girl sitting across from her.
She stared wide-eyed. The other girl looked just like her. The same height, the same pointed ears, the same green hair that curled at the tips. But something was different. She felt a strange familiarity from this other girl. An aura of strength and wisdom surrounded her, and when she gave Saria a sad, somehow knowing smile, the familiar feeling grew stronger. The little Kokiri hesitated to speak.
“Are…..are you….?”
She blinked her eyes. And when she did the figure was suddenly gone. She jumped a little at the sudden disappearance, looking around her room as though she had moved somewhere else in that split second. But there was no one. She was alone.
There was some noise outside her door; fussy whimpering from her baby brother, and soft footsteps from one of her host parents coming to check on him. She listened a while, watching the light under the door flicker from the shadows of people walking by. Then slowly she slid off the bed to turn off her light.
Once it was off, she sat back down on the bed and took up one of her stuffed animals, hugging it close and thinking.
Had she really just seen the Sage of the Forest?
