Prologue
In this universe, there once existed two worlds.
In the heavens was the Sennin World, where the Sennin dwelt.
And on Earth…
Yes, of course, the Human World, where the humans lived.
The era of the Human World is that of the Yin Dynasty.
The thirtieth Emperor of the Yin, Chuu-oh, was known to be a wise ruler,
Who excelled in both pen and sword.
With the capital Chouka at its center,
Yin held sway over roughly eight hundred of the surrounding nations.
A mysterious and oddly-clad figure hovered over the skies of China, watching the Human World below with much amusement. Wide black eyes stared intently at the Imperial Palace and the wind gently played with its long lavender-white hair that was tied into two balls on either side of its head.
As the being stared on, its mount, a large white cat, brought its ever-watchful yellow eyes up to its master inquisitively.
“But the Yin Dynasty is about to fall after all this time, right, Shinkouhyou?” it asked, in a high, childlike voice.
The being, Shinkouhyou, smiled slightly at the cat’s question.
“Exactly right, Kokutenko!” he replied, petting Kokutenko gently as he spoke. He looked up at the palace again, and his eyes widened with interest.
“Ah…” he exclaimed, “Look. She is about to make her appearance!” Kokutenko looked down at the palace, curious as to who “she” was.
“Come to captivate Chuu-oh’s heart. The embodiment of a Yokai Senin…..Dakki.”
Even though they were miles away from the palace, Shinkouhyou and Kokutenko could see all the events inside as though they were standing in the great halls themselves. Chuu-oh sat regally on his throne, surrounded by his servants and advisors. His brown eyes stared intently at the top of the stairs that came from the middle of the room, as if waiting for something.
And whatever he was waiting for arrived. His eyes lit up with happiness as a slender, feminine figure hovered silently up from the railed-in stairway into the throne room, clad in a skintight red and white suit, her long red hair and a pink wrap around her arms swaying seductively. Her sparkling ruby eyes narrowed in a smile at the bewildered Emperor, revealing every last detail of her startling beauty. Just as Shinkouhyou said, Dakki had made her appearance.
She floated seductively towards Chuu-oh and landed softly beside him. She gave him her gentlest smile, and before long his nostrils were filled with a sweet perfume emitted from the wrap around her. He eased back in his throne, taking in the heavenly aroma, seemingly unaware of anything else.
As the scene unraveled, Shinkouhyou spoke again, seemingly to himself.
“She stole Chuu-oh’s heart by using the black magic ‘Temptation.’ And so, Dakki gained the favor of the imperial regime and seized complete control of the Yin Government. Soon, an era of upheaval and terror came upon the Human World.”
Kokutenko looked up at him again.
“Who are you talking to?”
Shinkouhyou merely shook his head.
“Never mind, Kokutenko. Let us descend into the tale as well. I want to see something interesting, as I’m sure you do, my friend.” He chuckled silently to himself as he petted Kokutenko’s head again.
