sagesariaOk I didn't want to blog about this before because I wasn't sure how I felt about it, but here it is now.
I'm required to audition for a play for credit. I meant to audition for Bette and Boo (the last play MC did), but I forgot, so I auditioned for Tommy coming out this March. I was dubious about auditioning; I'm still trying to find a job, the play would take a lot of time. Also the day I auditioned I had to miss Longwood Gardens with my mom AGAIN. I've NEVER been and couldn't go once again alsdjha;sjha;sjdghaposudhgasdgh
But anyway, when I showed up I was kinda meh on it; I wasn't really interested in getting a part. But we had to do the dance audition before the singing audition (which I didn't realise there would be dancing so I wasn't really dressed for it...serves me right) and once the music started (Pinball Wizard) something woke up. I jumped into it like I've never jumped into an audition before. I wanted it. The audition overall was an absolute blast and I loved every second of it and put my whole heart into it.
The next day, somebody who'd seen the callboard before me said that I'd been called back. I've NEVER been called back before. I was thrilled.
The callbacks were a little weaker on my part. I was a half hour late because I overslept, the steps they added to the dance were confusing, I forgot a line when I was singing, and one of the exercises we did killed my legs all weekend and I can still feel it in my ankles.
But even after that, I had my fingers crossed. I'll have to figure out my class and work schedule around it if I'm in but I wanted this. I wanted it so fucking bad. More than I even wanted Into the Woods back in high school.
Today I made my way hobbling to campus to check the callboard.
