So several folks noticed, including [livejournal.com profile] sarian_oblivian (sorrryyyyyy ;_; I know I said on the phone but still), that I wasn't on all day.

I went to [livejournal.com profile] maugorn's gig at Esoterica in Virginia. Kind of a last-minute decision I was only able to tell a few people about when I was in the library for a half hour, and it went later than I expected.

But this place. Was. Fucking. INCREDIBLE!!!! I wasn't expecting him to perform in a little store like this, but OMFG!

Let's put it this way, to start; if we knew it existed and we had money to get there and to spend, Katrina and I could have made a girl's day out there and we would BOTH come home happy. She could check out the information on witchcraft classes and browse the herbs and insense and tarot cards, maybe get her palm read, while I could browse the fairy stuff and mythological statues and clocks and maybe get a bellydance skirt (not a bellydancer but if the Faerie Fest stuff didn't tip you off I like bellydancing), then we'd both attack the cloaks and bumper stickers.

That's basically this place in a nutshell XDDD It's hard to really describe EVERYTHING there, but MAN was it amazing. I'm definitely coming back sometime when I have money. In fact, as I was walking around looking at everything (and occasionally pausing to pet their beautiful cat), I was thinking "I cannot leave this place without bringing SOMETHING home" (thanks to [livejournal.com profile] patches023 saying if there was something inexpensive I wanted she could get it for me). The first two things that caught my eye; a fountain with a fairy knelt by the stream holding her hand under the path of the water and a really nice green cloak, were sadly way too expensive. I ended up leaving with a pretty box of angel-themed note cards. Like I said though, DEFINITELY coming back when I have money.

Mom's quote when I told her about it upon coming home: "I THOUGHT you smelled like you went somewhere Pagan :)"

oh and [livejournal.com profile] idragosani, I saw a lot of Cassandra Syndrome CDs there too! I still need to actually get some of those for my own XD

On a random tangent for TODAY, CJ called me out of the blue XDDDD I gave her my number a while ago but she'd never called me before XD It was a little awkward at first before she told me who it was, but then she caught me talking XD congratulations CJ you're one of the few people whom I don't get really quiet talking to on the phone.
