sagesariaOk, time for my ramble about theatre:
When I was waiting for the class to start, there was a small handful of people there with me, and I took an IMMEDIATE liking to them. As I suspected, my first thought about my classmates was "Thank God, people who actually want to BE here!"
The teacher is really cute and REALLY funny. Unlike Mrs. McCary back at Quince Orchard, he actually has a good stage personality so it's easier to get into the stuff he's teaching us, since he's doing it right along with us and laughing and everything. We did a good name-learning excercise that I remembered from Child Development XDD and of course it was tons of fun.
The classroom is shoe-optional. I can't go around in only my socks all the time because the hardwood floors hurt my feet after a while, but the fact that I have the option of taking my shoes off makes me happy.
I think I'm gonna need help with some of my homework. I have to see several plays. Woe is me. Could somebody help me with that sometime? ;)
After class, the two people I spent most of the pre-class time talking to, Jessica and Jeff, and I all had a silent mutual agreement to eat lunch together. Talking to them, and Jessica's friend whose name escapes me, for about an hour and I'm already going "OMGBFF!" Too bad I can't watch movies with them though; they're admitted movie-talkers XP
I just read the chapter in the textbook that I needed to for tomorrow. Really draining because it's long, but really interesting and useful. I must remember the cathartic demon-exorcising one (writing out your demons for acting, like "Everybody's done this longer" or "I look horrible in tights", writing colorful retorts over them, and dramatically destroying the paper.)
Overall, the class is SO worth waking up in the morning for, and I really hope that it'll also help me with German; my first class of the day wakes me up and puts me in a good mood.
Ok, gotta finish up here and see if I'm up to more work before going home. I'll blog about German when we get a little further in.
