Gaming post
May. 5th, 2007 02:36 pmSo for my birthday, Davi gave me Animal Crossing (for Gamecube). A simple game, yet somehow addictive. I played it for quite a while, then got distracted from it because I got back into Twilight Princess and religiously played it until I beat it. It has now been two and a half months since I picked it up. No way I'd be able to start up from my original town. So I'm gonna start over.
What I'm doing right now is brainstorming ideas for tunes, because that's one of my favorite parts of the game. For those of you who don't play, the tunes you can make are 16 beats long and in the key of C, and you can set a certain beat to play a random note, as well as hold a note.
The tunes I have put on the game are: two random scales, Saria's Song, Under Your Spell from Once More with Feeling, Gathering Peascods, Frarajaca (SP?!?!?), London Bridge, and a series of random notes in the same rhythm as London Bridge.
Is there anything else that people have figured out how to play? Or anything somebody would recommend?
Also, some Twilight Princess thoughts. Ok, something I've been wondering for a bit...when Midna first gets the Fused Shadows back from Zant, she looks at her hands horrified, then looks around as if expecting some sort of change. What was that all about? Was she feeling the power of the Shadows or something? Which would explain her surprise when she killed Zant? Or...as I was typing this, I realised...was she perhaps shocked that she wasn't changing back?
Also, something a little random...Zelda and Midna shared hearts for the end half of the game. And when she was revived, Zelda said "Such suffering you have endured". At first I thought she just meant what Link and Midna had to go through to save her. But then I thought of something...Zelda shared her heart with Midna, so maybe she saw EVERYTHING that weighed heavy on Midna's heart; regrets from abandoning her people, fear of her own power, hatred for Zant, etc. Could that possibly be why Midna looked like she was about to cry when Zelda recovered?
Oh, and I still have some suspicions that there is some sort of history between Zant and Midna. Watching them before Zant almost kills her; he holds her back and whispers in her ear, saying that he needs her. And at one point he refers to her as "My Midna". I think there is a possibility that he had tried, or simply that one time was trying, to seduce her.
That's my randomness of the day. Feel free to gimme feedback XP
