Are you in the habit of labeling your items so that they can return to you? For instance:
Textbooks: write your name, address, and phone number in them
Cell phone: put an address label on it and have a phone number labeled home (which is your mother's number)
Laptop: put an address label on it and write reward if returned. Also it is a good idea to have a file on the desktop called "Read me if found" that has your contact information and the words "reward if found."

Do you have address labels? If you don't, make Maug buy you some today.
