Fencing woes

Fencing equipment is hot and hard to manage sometimes. I have to have someone else get the jacket on and off of me. And I need to tape my breast plate(s) into the jacket, because I got a boy's jacket; the only one left that fit me -_-

And...there's a bitch in the class. I was wearing the mask as we went to get our foils, and I mentioned that it was a little hard to see. "That's why we're not supposed to put them on yet." she snips with a smirk.

Um, excuse me? When did the professor ever say we weren't supposed to put them on? And since when is wanting to get a feel for the equipment a bad thing? And, another pet peeve of mine...I WAS JUST MAKING A FUCKING COMMENT!!! Oh, and nevermind that her boyfriend was wearing his mask too. *grumble*

I happen to like her boyfriend, though. He's much more tollerable. And thanks to him I discovered that the foil is a good weapon against the ticklish. Unfortunatelly, I was the victim of this discovery :P

Oh, and a leftie vs. a rightie? Awkward.

we weren't even acutally sparring yet either lol...we were going back and forth lunging at each other...but one person had to stay en guard while the other lunged. Not easy when your foils are getting in each others' way lol

My cousin is a left handed fencer. He swears that it gave him an edge in competition. There are fewer left handed fencers, so right handed fencers are never quite sure how to deal with them.
