There are two buses with the same number that pass the Metro station, and one of them does NOT go to the college...

sigh. Bus systems are fucked up.

Anyway, class in an hour, so I'm just gonna chill and try to get some more German homework done :P

In Ballston, the 23A Metrobus, both directions, used to be at the same stop. You had to look or ask if were going to Crystal City or Tysons Corner. I agree that such is silly.

The Columbia Pike line from the Pentagon had a similar problem. All of them were 16X where X was some letter. All went most of the length of Columbia Pike before turning in some direction or another.

And people who lived relatively close to the Pentagon got REALLY PISSED OFF when they (figuring every flavor of 16 went by their house) boarded a 16F only to discover that 16F's were EXPRESS and it didnt stop until George Mason Dr!

Yeah, when i lived at Columbia Pike and George Mason, i learned, happily from a schedule, that the 16X, 16Y, and 16Z went via other routes, such as Army-Navy drive and Shirlngton, to rejoin Columbia Pike in Falls Church on the way to Annandale.

Think of it as a figure "8" with the metro stop being in the center. The bus will say where it's final destination is going to be on the front (well, should say.(

For example, the 59's southern point is Rockville metro station. It's northern is Montgomery Village Center. If you are at Shady Grove metro station and want to go south to the college, you want to get on the bus that says ROCKVILLE.
