Hey guys, guess where I am?

...............................

Give up?

...............................

School!

That's right! I have a little less than an hour before my class starts, so I decided to turn on my laptop and see if the campus had a wireless network that I could get on, and it did! Go me!

[livejournal.com profile] maugorn brought me out here way early so we'd have time for lunch, browsing, any possible extra time for traffic and possibly getting lost. But now I'm here, and I actually have something to do thanks to the laptop, as opposed to last time I was here when I didn't think to bring anything but my iPod for entertainment.

I can barely wait! I'm not sure what it is...something about the word "college" and sitting in this campus makes me really excited about school! I never felt like this about high school.

It *must* be something about this campus...I feel more at home here than at high school. I guess it's because I get fresh air before the lessons. The classrooms themselves are pretty standard for a school, but I still get to see nature before and after, and in-between on days when I have two classes.

It's funny, too...Maug mentioned that yeah, it's nice to be out in fresh air and sunshine, but there'd also be rain or snow. But I thought that was cool too. I love walking through snow, and I plan to get a new umbrella real soon. I dunno...high school kinda sucks for precipitation...I guess it's because a: you can only hear it, not watch it except from a window, and b: I have to walk through rain, which is much more frustrating. I'm carrying less in my arms than highs school, so umbrellas will be much less of a hassle.

And I'm just babbling and half making sense. Anyway, 20 minutes until I need to head to class, so I'm gonna brag to Davi for a few minutes lol. TTYL!

Yep! This is what I thought would happen.

College has a way of giving back to you what you put into it. What you do in High School has no such correlation. You get to spend less time in class. Nobody manages your time. If you don't try, there aren't any guidance counselors to intervene and keep you from failing.

It's scary, but it's empowering. I'll say it one more time: You're going to kick ass at this college thing. Your much more suited to it than you were to high school.

Work hard. Play hard. Have fun. Kick ass.
