But aside from that
Oct. 13th, 2004 03:56 pmSorry I haven't been around except for comics. I've been feeling kinda anti-LJ-ish. It's not that I'm mad at them. I just...you know, haven't felt motivated to write anything.
Anyway, I'll re-cap a little bit and then I have an announcement to people about my friends onlies.
I've been playing volleyball less with Carlos, Neal and Eric lately. I still warm-up with Eric, 'cause he's cool, but in teams, I've been with different people.
On Monday we did some teamwork exercises; pass a ball to each other in a star shape, then do that with two, than three balls. That was pretty cool. It got to be a tad of a mess, but we did pretty well mostly. Then we had to do the same thing with bump-passes. That was total chaos. Then we had to toss to each other while turning clockwise in a "ring around the rosies" style. That was a lot of fun. We got two balls in before it got messy. But it was the most fun of the exercises :D
Yesterday I noticed some bruises on my wrists. I'm gonna ask Ms. Bodmer if that's a typical thing from volleyball. I didn't get them last year, though, so I'm a little suspicious.
In CrW, we had to write short not-quite essays about our favorite cookies, comparing them to something. I compared a chocolate chip cookie to the moon, using a bunch of phases and stuff as metaphors. It was fun, and Ms. Hardinge loved it. I'm gonna post it on
sarias_stories ASAP.
We had the PSAT today. That was exhausting. But at least I had volleyball right afterward. After sitting on one's rear for three hours straight, it's a relief to do some leg-work.
That's all really interesting going on.
The announcement I wanted to make: I know some people who know me IRL and found my LJ, as well as people from communities or people who just found me randomly have been peeking in and reading my stuff. I have absolutely no problem with other people reading my journal. What I'm worried about is people not being able to see some of my stuff because it's friends only. The reason for that is kinda weird; when I started LJ last year, my grandparents were notified of it too. There's some stuff that I post on LJ that I want to keep from them. Unfortunately, that means keeping it from other people who aren't on my friend's list, too. So I just want to make a request; if you peek into my journal and have any interest in reading it regularly, please let me know right away so I can add you to my friend's list. I love making friends online and don't want to keep something from you because I'm paranoid about the grandparents.
I brought this up because my last entry was friend's only, so people not on the friend's list wouldn't understand why I put "but aside from that".
Thank you!
