There are differences between the Who's version and the play version of Tommy. Not only in sound (though in our case we're trying to go back to the rock'n'roll sound), but also in some lyrics, and even in story. They may seem shocking to those used to the original Who version, but there isn't a lot that can be done about that at this point.
Just saying so that people who come in March aren't totally shocked. PLEASE try not to let that get in the way of enjoying it. I think they work. I see them as a different interpretation of the story.
