sagesaria: ("I knew you were good!")
Happy Mother's Day, [livejournal.com profile] moviebear! I love you!
sagesaria: (Cha-CHING!)
So Mom and I went shopping for a new bathing suit for me, along with a pair of goggles that squish my face and make me look ridiculous >_<

Then we went and spoiled Mom with some yummy food. While we were there, she filled me in on a plan at her office....

In short: I may end up getting a summer job there!

I have to go in to talk to them at some point this week. *crosses fingers*
sagesaria: (hmmm.....)
Sooooo.....

The chances of getting the job are fairly high as long as I don't do or say anything stupid. At least according to Mom. Still, I'm a little nervous about it. For one thing, I don't know what kind of schedule I want. I'm not sure when I have to be decided, but I want to be decided by the time I go see the person who wants to hire me (apparently named Cindy?).

At first I was tempted to post this as an "On the other hand..." monologue a la Fiddler on the Roof, but I'll just put it like this.

They want me to work 20 hours a week. My choices are; work a few hours every day, or work full time three days a week.

Part time pros:
more free time daily
less work to do all at once

Part time cons:
no ride home from Mom
need money for bus fair

Full time pros:
more accomplishment daily
round-trip rides to work and back
more full days free

Full time cons:
more work to do
less free time

I think I had more, but I don't remember them.
Any thoughts?
