yeah, he slept all day, which meant he wasn't gonna let me sleep that night. He woke up and started fussing around 9, a half hour after I decided to try to sleep. I stayed up until he fell asleep again, around midnight. Then he woke me up around 2 and 4, the latter was when I decided to head to school.

He was completely silent during the lunchtime visit to daycare, and for quite a while after I picked him up to go home. He did need 2 diaper changes in the half hour, though.

Right now, I'm feeding him and typing w/ one hand.

In other news, I had to cancel the play. Ran out of time with only 2 rehearsals, and we lost Harrison (Hello, earth to Harrison's family! Grounding him could wait until AFTER the one acts! Did you completely forget that other people had plans revolving around him?!?). Sucks.

EDIT: And after the World's Longest Feeding, he goes back to sleep :P

Sorry about your play. Harrison's family fucked me over too.

Yowie! Yeah, babies do that...at least, so I'm told! ;-)

Play got cancelled? Bad parentals, no parental biscuts!
...I do know that feeling, sorta. Our DM got grounded one week and thus D&D got cancelled. But, IMHO, it was something that did need to be done quickly. But what do I know, eh? I'm just a crazy old lady! ;-) *hugs you* &*hugs babytoo*

Ah, but you see that is the whole point... grounding him even tho he's promised his time to people is designed to teach him to think before he does something that will get him in trouble. It's a lesson in responsibility that most people don't learn fast enough - when you have people relying on you that you don't want to dissapoint, don't do something stupid in another part of your life. When you're over 18, that stupid thing could get you arrested instead of grounded (or, depending on the level of stupid, it could get you dead).

I guess what I'm trying to say here is, unless his parents are, according to your mother and other reasonable adults, completely out of their tree... you're aiming your anger at the wrong people. HE screwed up, not them, and because he wasn't thinking about how it might affect his friends and castmates when he did whatever he did, you and his other friends are paying for his fuckup. That's his fault. No one else's. I know personal responsibility isn't particularly popular in the world these days, but that doesn't make it any less right.

Seconded.

If the punishment fits the crime, then it's the criminal's fault and not the judge's.

If Harrison did something stupid and that's how he got himself grounded, then he's the one who ruined the play. Not his parents.

OK, that is a little over the top... UNLESS his parents made that a condition of his being allowed to do extracurrilcular activities, in which case he knew a 'C' would get him into trouble (altho I'd never have a problem with a C, it's average</>, there's nothing wrong with being average)
