Notes: Inspired by flammyverse, though we don’t currently have fluffy happy Midna/Link going on there, ‘cause we don’t have a Link :( and ironically, I'm NOT very content with this XD;;
Link stirred as his biological clock woke him up that Saturday morning. He blinked his eyes open, taking a moment to remember where he was. As soon as he recognized the dark colors of the apartment, he remembered the night before, and looked down at the head of firey red hair on his bare chest with a smile. He shifted a little, making himself comfortable, causing the imp on top of him to mumble softly in her sleep. Link smiled again, resting his arm on her back and petting her hair for a few minutes before planting a gentle kiss just below her widow’s peak.
Midna was a light sleeper, not needing much of it. The Ordonian she was using as a body pillow moving had woken her up just a bit, and the cool lips on her forehead finished the job. Her cat-like eyes opened slowly as she took a deep awakening breath.
“Good morning.” Link whispered, his hand resting on top of her head. Midna lifted her head, resting her chin on his chest as she looked up at his warm smile, smiling back herself.
“You’re still here.”
Link chuckled, “Of course I am.” he said, petting her hair some more, “I told you before, I’m here as long as you need me.”
“Good.” Midna smiled, settling back down on top of Link, cuddling him. Link in turn draped both arms around her, holding her close.
“We’re not getting up yet?” he asked, amused.
“Not yet.” Midna replied simply. Link chuckled softly.
“Alright.” he kissed her on the forehead again and settled back into the covers, cradling the little imp.
