I went to see Pirates of the Caribbean last night. It was really cool.

But all through it, I was thinking about my friend Heather. She wanted to see it because it has Orlando Bloom in it, and Orlando Bloom is her Leonardo DiCaprio. That's not a reason to see a movie. When I went to see it, half of me didn't care that Orlando Bloom was in it, that half of me wanted to see it because it looked really good! The part of me that did want to see Orlando wasn't because he was the blond-haired boy-toy of Lord of the Rings, it was because I wanted to see how well he could act! I mean, yeah, we saw that in LoTR too, but not as much as in Pirates of the Caribbean.

A lot of people are probably looking at me and saying "Look who's talking, Ms. Leonardo!" But there's a reason I went to every Leonardo DiCaprio movie my parents could afford; I saw Leo in Titanic and thought he was really good!

I guess what I'm saying is, "Heather, don't go just for the guy you knew from LoTR, 'cause it's not always him."
Something tells me I hardly made any sense. But that's okay, I'm used to it ^_^

This is why I always feel vindicated when one of my friends gets over teasing me about Matt Damon long enough to notice that he's *talented*. Not that I've never gone to see a movie because someone I like to look at was in it , but my true celebrity crushes are people I can actually appreciate for their work.
