Well, my ride got stuck in traffic on the way to pick me up, and we got a little traffic and got lost on the way there, so we showed up really late. Missed the sessions of laser tag with Matthew (birthday boy) and the pizza and prizes and whatever else there was. So France payed for her son and I to join the last...7 minutes or so? of the current round. It was SO FUN!!! I was worried when I came that it was going to be one of those things where you die after a certain number of hits (the only time I'd ever played before was with my cousin's home laser tag set), but apparently how it works is if you get hit, you're down for five seconds. Spiffy! My favorite strategy was to just sit and wait after I got hit. People usually turned their back on me while I was down. Poor silly people. And the arena was so cool! The walls had a bunch of mirrors (which were cool because they a: made you think that you had someone in front of you but it was only your reflection, and b: warned you of people behind you) and barred windows you could shoot through, and one area had a smoke machine in it (which was a little scary). I loved the upper level! There were grates that you could shoot people under you through, and there were a lot more people up there. It was harder than the first floor, obviously, but it was more fun, and easier to know who's shooting at you LOL. I got lost when time was up, but that was kinda funny. "Anyone else still in here?" "Yeah! I'm on the balcony! Where's the ramp???"

After the game, I played some Area 51 and some air hockey, and spent some quarters to get some donuts, cookies, a sprite, and a little toy from the ball machine. I got a Puss in Boots mini! SQUEE!

I went in [livejournal.com profile] suecochran's husband's car to their house, where I got to meet [livejournal.com profile] scarlettj9's cats. Kuro-chan wa tottemo kirei!!! (I think I said that right. Trying to say "Kuro-chan is so pretty!") Then we headed off to take me home. I spent most of the trip trying to stay warm (I didn't have my coat and the heat wasn't very high), but then I fell asleep for a few minutes.

All in all, it was fun. It reminded me that I need to check out the laser tag place near us. If they work the same way, I'm torn on what I want to do for my birthday; arcade with DDR machines or laser tag. Hmm....

That's all. Up next update, my promised rants, and probably a movie and play blog. And if I remember what I wanted to talk about yesterday, that too.

Me loves kitties. I read 42 books in 2nd grade to get one, her name is Bitzy. Our other cat is Kumquat, ya know, after the lil' orange fruit... but Kumquat the cat is... Black...?

Since you can now do DDR at home, I suggest laser tag.

BTW, [livejournal.com profile] suechochran's husband is [livejournal.com profile] johncochran :).

True, I *can* do DDR at home, but I only have one pad, it's a private house, and the arcade version is better.
Still, laser tag would be a fun switch :)
