First time in a while, eh?
I was in a play. During rehearsals I was given a CD I was told to give to tech and tell them to play a certain track. On the day of the show, I finally opened the packaging on the CD and looked at the playlist, but couldn't find the song I was told to play. I spent a long time with the tech guy who was about to head up to the booth trying to figure this out, but then I realized I was looking for the wrong track, but THAT track wasn't on the lit either. Finally in a hurry he just took the CD and said he'd figure it out himself, and by this time it was too late for me to get into costume (I was a reception desk nurse in a hospital, I think) so I went out in the green dress I got at Sears, got into place entirely too late, and by the time the dialogue started I had completely forgotten my lines (which I had seen earlier; I had a script). After the scene was over I fell on the guy I was supposed to be talking with in it and cried and apologized over and over as some snobby woman mocked me for totally blowing it.
