Feb. 4th, 2009 05:02 pmMy only true complaint about yesterday's rehearsal was this:
I'd left my book in ht auditorium, so I went to ask Zoe if somebody picked it up. But when I showed up and got her attention, the first thing she said was "If you're dropping from the show, I don't want to hear it."
...apparently they'd gotten several dropouts in a row. I know she wasn't deliberately rubbing salt in the wounds but I was already having a crisis of faith about the show and really didn't need that.
But before you ask, yes, they found my book, and yes, that crisis of faith is now passed. I've made peace with getting cut out of Christmas. I can still sit with them while they're practicing it and sing along. I got to do the dance briefly to show the late entry filling my spot what the steps were. I still have chances in Cousin Kevin, Sensation and Pinball Wizard, and that's just the first act. And there's still the thrill of seeing all this come together. I get chills everytime I hear/picture the description of the final product in the Pinball Wizard part of the overture. It's gonna be AMAZING.
