On BouFu (rambling ahead)
Mar. 17th, 2008 12:41 amBouFu (Taikoubou/Fugen) is my big OTP in Houshin Engi recently. Usually it's NataRai (Nataku/Raishinshi), but since I play Fugen, this OTP's much stronger lately.
Upon reading it again, I've found that Taikoubou regards Fugen very highly, despite how annoyed he seems to be with him sometimes. And Fugen....Fugen is so obviously in love with Taikoubou it's not even funny. Most of the things they do together are just the two of them being very close (it's said in Fugen's profile that they're like brothers), but the big giveaway is the shojobubbles.
I love their closeness, and in RP I love how that closeness can be played on both sides without triggering major flags for the more clueless parties (*coughTaikouboucough*). But Fugen is still in love with Bou, and while he usually hides it, occasionally that blushy Uke does come out. For a lot of fanny chars it may become really obvious.
In fact, I hope it does become obvious, because then we have the delima of "Everybody knows but Bou-chan." I think Fugen needs that pressure, especially if others are telling him to just up and say it already. And why is summed up here:
As said here, he values being friends with Taikoubou. He's scared (yes scared! Fugen's scared of something! SHOCK!) that if he tells Bou he loves him, Taikoubou will reject him and he'll lose that friendship. Or if Bou doesn't reject him, that their friendship will be strained and awkward. So he crushes in silence. But I don't want to draw it out ala Roam, so I hope more people pick up on it ^^;
