Jul. 13th, 2006 06:52 pmHow would one describe Nightwish to somebody who's never heard of them?
I once said to
nandarou_life that it was like Evanescence meets Lord of the Rings, but I feel like that barely scrapes the surface. Is there really any other way other than to just show them?
Heather's coming over this weekend, and I plan to indroduce her to Nightwish. I'm not even gonna try to describe it, 'cause the description may give away the shock it gave me when I was introduced. I'm just gonna tell her "If I'm right at ALL about the kind of music you like, this will blow you away." and then play Ghost Love Score for her. I'm a little worried; she told me herself that she isn't fond of heavy music. But she loves dramatic soundtracks like Lord of the Rings and Pirates of the Carribean, so I'm hoping that will get her. I'm a fan of both genres, but when I heard Ghost Love Score for the first time, I was not expecting the electric guitar to come in.
Either way, I hope she likes it. I'm about 30% sure she will.
