Aug. 30th, 2004 09:26 pmWell, today was a day. It didn't seem as crowded as last year's first day was. Must not be that many Freshman this year. Either that or I've found all the shortcuts to avoid traffic.
I'm not as thrilled as some people are about being a Junior, but I have found a perk: I got an Open Lunch Pass! *Hallelujah Chorus plays in the background* That means if I forget my lunch or don't have time to pack one, I can go across the street and get something at Wendy's or El Mexicano or Dunkin Donuts! :D
I have Mr. Calandro in English AGAIN this semester! LOL I swear the poor man is gonna think I'm stalking him or something! Ok, maybe not. LOL I have Sra. Butler in Spanish again, which is cool, 'cause that saves me the trouble of crawling on my hands and knees to the Guidance Office and BEGGING them to give me Sra. Butler. And there was a little confusion when my schedule said General PE, but once I got there, apparently that was just a mix-up. If you're in General PE with Ms. Bodmer, that really means you're in Volleyball! Yaaaaaay Ms. Bodmer and Volleyball!!! ^_______^
Heather claims that I've achieved the unachievable by making Ben laugh. Hmm.....
I'm in Chemistry with Eve :D and the teacher's pretty cool. She reversed the water to wine process with a combustion demo: throwing a match into a jug of ethel alcohal. I even commented "so what you're saying is you did the opposite of turning water to wine?" and she laughed. I think I'm gonna like her.
It's scary how many people from NSL class second semester last year are in Modern World History with me this semester.
In Creative Writing, the teacher asked if anyone wanted to read something they wrote out loud tomorrow, and I volunteered to read Fly Away. Mom says I'm very brave. Hey, I *like* reading things I *like* out loud in class :D
I think I remember seeing a help wanted sign outside of the Dunkin Donuts. I'm checking that tomorrow, and if I'm right, I'm contemplating interviewing once things in school settle down a little bit. This is a VERY STRONG MAYBE!!! It depends on how school goes for me, what kind of schedule I'd be expected on, how brave I get, and how much the empty pockets of my jeans laugh at me.
And on a final note, after covering all my books and getting other things I'll need for class together.....hol-LY COW!!! My backpack is HEAVY!!!!
