catch up

First week of summer vacation and already my sleep schedule has warped.

Anyway, I'm sorry I got so LJ-backlogged, but here is a list of what has occurred this past week;

Right after my last post on (last) Friday, [livejournal.com profile] patches023 picked me up to go to her house. We got there around 1 AM, and I crashed almost instantly. Woke up around 8 next morning, and was tempted to go back to sleep when I felt Uncle's two-fingered thwack on the temple, and heard a familiar voice say "No sleeping! You must help Uncle do reeesearch!"

Ok ok, that didn't really happen, but I remembered that Jackie Chan adventures was on and went down to watch it with [livejournal.com profile] maugorn, and we enjoyed bacon and eggs. The eggs had some bacon crumbled up in them. Mmmm....*drool* then we watched a little of a Led Zeppelin concert DVD. My fingers get tired just thinking of that guitarist LOL. Then to my insistence, we started to watch Whisper of the Heart, since he's borrowing my DVD. We got up to the last half hour, then we had to leave for the Fairy Festival success party. That was fun. Mostly I ate, mingled, and sat in the hammock. They also had a sprinkler, so I got a little wet. Then the host pulled out Rocket Balloons; the worlds most obnoxious but strangely entertaining balloons ever invented. Maugie broke a few of them XD. We also got certificates as thanks for participation in the festival. I got two because my name was in the computer twice; once as Margaret and once as Meg LOL. I went home with Gary, and I think I crashed upon arrival home.

Sunday, I went out with [livejournal.com profile] scarlettj9 and [livejournal.com profile] johncochran and Matthew to see Howl's Moving Castle. I tried to get [livejournal.com profile] nandarou_life to come, but he was going to a Gay Pride fest. But that's ok, he'd already seen it before I did, so we could geek out about it at school. Anyway, it was very good :D. According to J9, it wasn't very accurate to the book, but it was wonderful nonetheless. Unfortunately, there were a few scenes that made me know that once again Mom was missing about on a good movie because of something that would disturb her.

I must say, Howl looked much better with blonde hair. And it didn't help that with black hair, he looked like Haku from Spirited Away. LOL

Monday, I had both exams for the day, and then ran into [livejournal.com profile] nandarou_life, [livejournal.com profile] firefly_lights, and Heather. We all spontaneously decided that we should go to my house. So we did. The first thing we did was play Final Fantasy 9, trying to help me through it. I found out that David is a little bit of a whiny brat when it comes to FF9 LOL c'mon Davi-chan, you're 16! Act like it! Anyway, then we played a lot of DDR. David was a little awkward on the pad because of his cast. But at least he didn't hurt the Davi, which is what's important. And we (and by we, I mean I) have officially declared Whitney worse at DDR than Heather. People went home around 4 :(

I FINISHED WITH EXAMS ON TUESDAY! WOOT! It was actually a lot shorter and easier than I was expecting :D I went home after the test, and a little while after arriving, I called [livejournal.com profile] evenshadowscry and invited him over. He came around 7, and we did stuff. We played games, and we did a little bit of measuring around the house for the maps of my house to make arenas for the water party in July/August.

Came into the room on Wednesday afternoon after a long sleep. Damien was playing Beyond Good and Evil. We did that most of the day (and did some more measuring). Around 7, Heather picked us up for a party at [livejournal.com profile] firefly_lights's house. Damien was crashing LOL. Apparently that was ok. I saw a bunch of cool people, some I didn't recognize, others I did. Including Arden! Yay! I kicked myself for not bringing my yearbook, but I got to spend time with Arden, which I really miss. I even got to play a few rounds of DDR with him :D I got to show people Squint, which they seemed to have fun with. The funniest was when Arden's word was Gavel, and he started acting out a court argument in Simese; "Mememememe!" "Rararararar!" "Bang bang bang" LMAO It was so funny. None of us got it, but it was so worth it. I wish I had a camera. I also got to do a little gaming bonding with him; there was an electric keyboard in the basement, and I started playing Zelda songs that I knew how to play, and he started playing along. And he played Aeris's theme from Final Fantasy 7; the version of the theme that I actually knew, even!

Things kinda went downhill after Arden left, though. I cuddled with Calvin and David for a while, but then we went upstairs because Whitney was having cake. We ate cake in the living room, with several people cuddling in the couch. I commented about the snuggle pile, and somebody started to pick a fight with me, saying that it was called a sex orgy. WTF?!? First of all, clearly there's no sex going on. Second, tomaeto tomato potaeto potato! Why should YOU care what I call it? Sheesh...you're not the center of the universe, you know.

But apparently she continued to think so. She started literally forcing people to come into the basement, then started throwing a fit when people didn't want to play a game that was going on. A really nasty game at that; you have to force two people into a closet for seven minutes, and supposedly you had to make out during that time. Umm...I can see why some people wouldn't want to play that game. Finally I got fed up with her screaming and went upstairs. Heather followed later, and David came up because he saw that I was upset. Damn right I was upset. Nobody has the right to force others to do anything. It's not fun, it's not funny, it's obnoxious! I was also upset because Whitney wasn't doing anything for the people who DIDN'T want to participate.

I think the party lasting till midnight kinda snowballed it too. Half of me wasn't even sure why I was crying. I didn't even cry until after David hugged me because he knew I was about to. Calvin came up later too, and he helped cheer me up and we snuggled. But then he left :( we all went back to the house around midnight, then we stayed up until 4 AM playing Beyond Good and Evil, and Damien beat it.

Woke up around noon...again. Damien was playing Final Fantasy 10 for most of the day. Then around 6:30, [livejournal.com profile] idragosani picked us up to go to a performance that his theatre class was holding. It was fun; Damien made a very good Oscar in The Odd Couple. Then they did a bunch of Improv, which means of course that he was absolutely hilarious. I even yelled "We love you Damien!" after a scene. Then we went back to the house and did more Final Fantasy. Then we watched Greg the Bunny and officially got D hooked. He was saying "Blah" the rest of the night.

Do I even have to say what time I got up? Damien played FF10 again, and we finished Greg the Bunny. We have another Tardy fan :D Most of the day was spent on video games, and eventually we even bought pizza and cheesy bread sticks with $31 worth of quarters (some of that was tip). [livejournal.com profile] starless_knight came around 11:30. We played games the rest of the night.

We were up until 6:30 AM, when we decided to take a nap until 2. Around 4, we finally got outside and played with my sprinkler. We got very very VERY wet. Jordi complained that it was cold, but we all know she loved it. Then after drying off, we kidnapped her for a while. It was rather amusing. We recorded a ransom note and everything! I would post pictures, but we couldn't find the camera :(

So now, here we are, finishing a long overdue LJ update. Damien's trying to get us to watch Record of the Loddoss Wars. I might join. I dunno if I feel like trying something new right now :P

Record of Lodoss Wars is a very cool anime.

*sends hugs to you* I have exams still until Wednesday. Suck. I would gladly have skipped last week and come down for this spontaneous summer bash, except that, you know, I would never skip a whole week of school unless I was on my deathbed, and double for last week because it was exam review. But it sounds like you had a lot of fun! Give hugs to Damien and Davi and Jordi for me!
