THIS SCENE IN FINAL FANTASY 7 MAKES NO FUCKING SENSE!!!

I'm in the scene where I have to join the parade, but no matter what the FUCK I do, the guy calls me back! What the fuck am I doing wrong? I'm trying to join the back row like he fucking told me, but every time he says to "stop playing around" I'M NOT FUCKING PLAYING AROUND!!! I'M TRYING TO JOIN THE FUCKING PARADE LIKE YOU FUCKING TOLD ME TO!

Walkthroughs are telling me to do what I'm ALREADY FUCKING TRYING to do. NOTHING is helping, and I DO NOT FUCKING GET IT!!!

minorbones, do you know what to do? I don't get it and nothing is fucking helping.

haha, that took me a while. Heres the thing...i would say it is ALL about timing but i've noticed the timining situation is usually further off than it appears to be...in other words i stopped trying to time it and went at the times i felt were off step and it worked. i think it's because the reaction time is slow so you have to over compensate. i had the same trouble when climbing the wall to get to shinra tower..i was like "WTF! I AM DOING IT PERFECTLY!" but then i tried doing it out of time and it worked...what was i saying... heh..sorry, i am of little help..but it isn't required..so if you don't do it nothing bad will happen...^_^'

how do I avoid doing it? I want to keep from doing it because it's a nasty inconvenience, but he won't let me leave.
