It's ok,'re alright...just control yourself....

*takes a deep breath*..............

People were booing somewhere, which worried me, but apparently the house lights came on in the middle of my number. Hehe, whoopsie!

They had a smoke machine for me, which was pretty cool ^_^

Everybody was ready with their cell phones, as usual, and as usual, EVERYBODY was on their feet by the end!

People were chanting for me before the lights even came on.

At the end of the show, I got a congratulatory balloon rub from David the Otaku.

I think last night was a hit, don't you? ^___^

Hee hee....anyway, sorry it took so long to post that. I was really sleepy when I got home last night (post-PotH-buzz) and fell asleep on the couch, then was busy doing other stuff.

I had a really odd dream that I don't remember very well...which reminds me that I should post my dream from last weekend at some point. Man, I'm lazy...

Been going through my anime screencaps and stuff trying to pick out some for a custom mood theme. Fun.

Puttin on the Hits rehearsals were today! I only had to stay about an hour, which was enough to see some pretty good acts, and a really bad one LOL. To people who are coming out tomorrow night, don't be fooled by the MC's first mention of me in the second act:
Girl: Up next, this act is going to blow you away!
Boy: Musical Margaret?
Girl: Sssh! That's later!

Despite almost losing my heart (or lunch), I did pretty well at the audition. People started waving there hands in the air in the last verse, which was really cool. I thanked them afterward for the "cell phone rehearsal," and they laughed.

Spencer is in the acts before AND after mine!

And since I got done really quickly, I got to come into the end of the Anime Club meeting just in time to see Excel Saga. David was *very* happy :)

Speaking of David...MUST RETURN CHOBITS!!!

No, for the thousandth time, I DON'T want to run virus scans right now!

Well, my three-day-Rowan turned out to be a two-day-Rowan, 'cause she had to leave early Sunday morning. *glare* You could have woken me up to say goodbye, you know...

Anyways, [ profile] coreybear and I meant to do an act in Puttin' on the Hits this year, but we could never find a time to practice together, so we decided it was for the best if I went solo this year. And I'll have to change the song too. I haven't gotten any practice on the song we wanted to do.

Dylan wasn't at the anime club meeting today! And we were watching the second episode of Naruto! It was actually ENJOYABLE because of Dylan's absence! WOW! What a coincidence!

I also heard that Dylan is actually getting arrested for something. And someone asked me if he had ever threatened me. Hmm...

I'm syncing stuff from Mom's "Widget" right now. Muahaha! Her entire collection is MINE now! My precciousssss......*gollum! gollum!*

[ profile] damaru uploaded new issues of the Houshin Engi scanslations! Glee! *glomp* Yu sho good to ush, Mearl-chan <3

I got a call saying that there was a Puttin' on the Hits meeting at six thirty in the morning at some location in Rockville. It took us forever to get everything. I had the beads I used with my Halloween costume with me and I kept losing them. I don't remember much else, except that there were tons of boxes of donuts and I was eating more than anyone else.

Woke up with Friday I'm in Love by The Cure (but when I heard it performed by Bar Code, one of the bands at PoTH last year) stuck in my head

The two things that I was certain were going to happen for Puttin on the Hits did happen!

1: Corey and I are in!
2: Bobby is one of the two MCs!

Whoo and also Hoo!!!! ^_^_^_^_^_^_^_^_^_^_^_^_^

Good news

On a happier note, I just got back from auditioning for Puttin on the Hits! Corey could have spoken up a little more, but I think we've gotten in ^_^ I was so nervous (and shaken from my dream) that I thought my playing would suck, but I did it! I played! And I didn't drop my pick! Yaay! I think we're in!

I went to Mr. Baczko's room for the Puttin' on the Hits auditions, but nobody was there. Not Mr. Baczko, not Corey, nobody. So I ended up not auditioning and going home.

Ick >_< I really didn't need that. I'm nervous enough as it is.

Woke up with There She Goes by Sixpence None the Richer stuck in my head.

This was a dream I had on.....I think Thursday night.

I was at Puttin' on the Hits (School talent contest), but instead of waiting in the wings for them to call contestants up, we had to sit in the house. When my number came up, I couldn't carry my guitar because the isles were too narrow, so I ended up singing my songs while the background was playing on a tape, kinda Karaoke-ish. I sounded terrible too, but then I still got applause.

Apparently Maugie was in the contest as well. He came on and had tons of equipment, and was trying to get it all set up and it wasn't working. I didn't get to hear him perform because then I woke up.

It was about three in the morning when I woke up, so I went back to sleep. It was lunch time at school, and Corey was sitting with me. Heather wasn't there (probably at a chess club meeting). I was trying to tell Corey the story of Br'er Rabbit and the Tar Baby, but I was telling it wrong. Instead of saying they were going to steak him, hang him or skin him, I said they were going to drown him, beat him to death, and then I didn't get to the last thing because then the alarm clock woke me up. Bits of the animated movie were playing when I was telling the story.

In a little more that 52 hours and 15 minutes, I will be going back to school and will be a Sophomore. Slightly caffeinated and on a teensy bit of an adrenaline rush, I have spent the last half hour sharpening pencils, planning which supplies I should bring on the first day, frantically searching for a small book to bring, rearranging my purse, doing laundry, and looking for cute little magnets that I can stick on the inside of my locker. I guess you could call it the hyperactivity-induced back-to-school jitters.

It was kinda strange; I was looking through all my stuff; old folders of Spanish homework, my student ID card, new folders and binders, everything, and I got this sense of a new start that I got last year. The smell of newly bought school supplies makes me feel that way. Seriously! I love the smell of fresh plastic that a new binder or backpack gives off.

As I was sitting among my old and new school supplies, I kept having these flitting flashbacks of my first days of Freshman year; the first time I had ever set foot in a public school to learn. I remember everything; the feeling of excitement and nervousness, everything seeming so new and alien, the first time I saw Donn Mulderink in Theatre class, the instant knowledge of how much I was going to love my History teacher, and even the things I didn't want to remember, like how I had to go around the school on crutches, getting lost in the halls for ten minutes before I finally found the classroom, and the way I slipped into the wrong crowd.

I loved all (well, almost all) of the group that I ate lunch with, but soon it got out of hand with their constant pressure to do things that I didn't want to and pushing of subjects I had said to drop.

The only good things I can see about it is that they had some good advice for a Freshman like myself, and because I sang for them so much, they introduced me to the talent contest Puttin' on the Hits.

Puttin' on the Hits was my proudest moment that year. A standing ovation before my song was even finished, an article in the school newspaper, and the yearbook referred to me as a favorite performer. *sigh* Sometimes I feel like that was the best day of my life.

I remember everything perfectly, and yet it seems like it was years ago. It's strange, but that's how I feel.

Ok, my late night angsty babble is over now. I'm gonna try to get some sleep now.
